Help from the forest.

My cat Odin is named after the Norse Viking god. I decided to stay out for almost a week. This is normal behaviour for Odin in the summertime as he is such an excellent hunter. Often bringing us gifts of mice, rabbits, birds, etc.!

My husband and I were walking along the road, calling his name. When we got to the neighbour’s driveway, I noticed a large rabbit sitting in the middle, enjoying some grass. I wondered if our cat had tried to hunt that particular rabbit in the past. As I was having these thoughts, I heard “friend, friend”! in my thoughts.

I guess it just shows that the closer we get to “friend” home, the more apt he is to reach out! Dwayne did also point out that “friend” could also have had a hand in helping Odin home again.

I take that as a positive affirmation, and I feel so blessed and at peace with my new “friend”. Odin did come home the next day. I was able to finally get him to the vet for his medication.
